2025 Yr Wyddfa Train Journey times
The railway will be running daily from the 29th of March until the 25th of October 2025 and travel to the summit is planned to recommence on the 1st of May (weather permitting).
From the 29th of March to the 30th of April, trains will run to Clogwyn Station ¾ up the mountain, where the unsheltered viewing platform offers spectacular views of the valleys below.
A round trip to the summit is approximately 2.5 hours, which includes a 30-minute stop at the UK's highest visitor centre, Hafod Eryri. A round trip to Clogwyn is approximately 2 hours, which includes a 30-minute stop at the unsheltered station.
Please be aware that there are no facilities at Clogwyn Station or onboard the trains, there are facilities at Llanberis Station. A single ticket can be pre-booked to travel up from Llanberis Station. Single tickets down the mountain cannot be pre-booked and are only available on a standby first come, first served basis from the destination station of the day (Clogwyn Station or Snowdon summit). Booking is advance is highly recommended, especially during school holidays and spells of fine weather, as we can sell out weeks in advance. Assistance animals are allowed on board our trains.
